Stuck Bonnet

2013 L320 RRS AB

I have one bonnet latch that is not latching correctly

I then have the other one that wont release.

When i pull on the handle , it does nothing ( no clicks to release the bonnet )

I can feel a little resistance though

Is there any way for me to Unlatch the drivers side without using the handle ( Through grill or something) ?

Should I remove the handle and try to Manual pull the cable ?

Should there be 1 or 2 cables attached to the handle. ?

Please HELP Big Cry

Have you tried pulling the handle then giving the hood a quick whack with your hand? Just a quick hit over the latch with the base of a closed fist. Obviously not so hard you do damage to the car or yourself, but just enough to jar it. You may need somebody to pull the handle at the same time. It’s a little bit of an art. If it gets it open, I suggest closing the hood like you mean it. It’s not the tailgate, there’s no soft close latch. Although, make sure there’s nothing obstructing it from latching. I left the cap from a washer fluid bottle on the radiator support, wouldn’t latch. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

Ok Tried the above , It isnt opening still.

Removed the handle and tried a pull on the cable, still not opening.

I assume the only method to open now is to go in through the front grill and somehow open it that way ?

Any one able to help me out please Very Happy

On mine, late 2010, the cable is in 2 pieces. Cable from the handle goes to the near side wing, I think behind the plastic inner wing cover and I think quite high up and near the front.
There’s a plastic box about 1/2” square and 2” long inside of which the handle cable and the cable which runs along the front to the bonnet catches are joined.
The ‘box’ splits longitudinally if that makes sense.
You might need to remove the front near side wheel or put the car into offfroad mode to remove the inner wheel cover.
If you can get the box open you can then pull the front cable with pliers to release the catch?
