This just started as an intermittent fault a few days ago, the car alarm would go off, I'd just unlock and relock the RR with the key fob, all good....for a little while...rinse repeat.

No sunroof, seems dry inside apart from the odd bit of condensation on the windows during wet weather.

your initial problem of the alarm going off, is usually down to a faulty bonnet switch (bypass it with a paper clip). It part of the latch on the drivers side.

Thanks for the response, that hazard lights being on I feel were part of the alarm but I was sat with the door open and the key in the ignition.

All appears to be well now regarding this issue. Not sure if it was caused by the heavy rains we had but I'm assuming I got a bit of water ingress into he wiring, will need to investigate further once I have her back.

I don't remember seeing any orange light on the dash at start-up. So I'm pretty sure they are non AFS I've just put the Rangey in for a standard MOT and the mechanic is convinced this is an electrical problem as the lights wont communicate with his diagnostic tool. May need to do a bit of research myself between the difference in these lights. I'm hopeful its a simple fix but expecting to have to replace the lights. Just don't want to pay a fortune for an auto electrician if one is not needed |

Standard lights don’t have a communication interface. So that’s why they won’t talk

We had a customer drive 3 hours to us for MOT repairs, as the station failed it for Adaptive Self Levelling light not working
