Long time lurker, first time poster....

Looking at buying my first RRS. I am looking at RRS 2019 P400 HST spec cars and wanted to know if it's possible to activate / retrofit the following two options:

1. Apple Carplay. If possible, does it just look like it should, had it come from the factory?

2. Park Assist - the automagical self-parking option. I've seen lots of vehicles with "360 Parking Aid", but as I understand it Park Assist needs to be optioned on top of this to get self parking.

If the above is possible, roughly how much would I bee looking at?

Hi Ben, I’ve got a MY20 HST and before that, a MY17 Disco5 - both have apple CarPlay. I think it was standard from MY 18 or so from memory, but earlier versions (eg my Disco) were upgraded with one of the 2019 in control touch updates - which for my Disco was done for free by my local dealer. I’d be surprised if your My 19 didn’t have it as standard.

As for the 360 parking aid, I have no idea. The HST P400 is an awesome car - a thinking person’s SVR with almost the performance, but reduced eco guilt and better economy! Done 15k miles in mine over the last 14 months - cant’t recommend it enough! Good luck. David

I think you’re right on the CarPlay. I suspect it’s missing an update to activate it. Seems odd that it’s not there.

I’ve started talking to Mo at lr-retrofits to see what can be done about the Parking Assist.

I’ll report back here with any progress.

On the p400 - hoping the performance matches my expectations. As a daily driver I can’t justify an SVR

And I completely bored of my X3 2.0

For anyone who finds this thread. Here's the update:

1. Apple Car Play: I got this via an OTA Incontrol software update. My car came with version S18D (I dont think it had ever been updated) and it jumped up to version S21B in one go. It took a very long time, seemingly doing nothing for ages, but eventually getting there.

2. Mo at lr-retrofits was able to activate Park Assist, Lane Keep Asist and Blindsport Assist.

I'm 2k miles in and loving the car. A few little niggles, but the HST P400 has been plentty of fun so far
