I have been sold a dud car - the engine problems started 2nd day and then 2 weeks later rattling like crazy. I notified dealer who apparently fixed for me

Had the engine this time seizd up after a about a week, oil sump crack on it. I was blamed even Obrudsman were stupid to believe the con artists.

Anyway - Insurance due to accident saying they accepted my claim. I'm seeing the car being sold for like £32.000 online still.

I looked at reconditioned engines at £8000 - i was thinking to ask the Insurance to buy back the car they written off - does anyone know if this would be a good idea?

Also does anyone know how much the insurance would sell me a car they have declared written off?
