MY19 P400 HST niggles - any ideas?

Hi All

I'm largely happy with my P400 purchase - good combo of economy and performance. Put about 2k miles of mixed motorways, b roads and city driving on her and getting about 27mpg. Which is better than I expected. Oh and loving the performance too Smile

But I've noticed some issues and, before I go to a dealer, was wondering if anyone has any experience / insights on what they could be / what is normal?

1. At very low rpm (1000 or less) the engine frequently starts to stutter with the rev counter bouncing up/down like it's about to stall. Coming off the throttle and back on harder seems to clear it. It's very noticeable when cold. Quite annoying in stop/start London traffic.

2. Vibration at speed - once up to motorway speeds (ok 70mph + ) there is a gentle vibration in the cabin, quite noticeable in the passsngers seat (weirdly). I worry somethings not quite right in the drivetrain?

3. Squeaky / grindy brake pedal sound. I think this is a known issue - either pedal or brake booster related. Very irritating. But I think there is a fix. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No error lights or warnings to speak of.

Any thoughts would be welcomed.

Cheers
Ben

Hi Ben,

I've had my car for 27 months and 16k miles and haven't experienced any of your issues. I get some odd messages at times but these always disappear on an engine restart. I've had this experience on previous LR/RR products. Only two problems so far, drivers heated seat and mirror inoperative and fixed plus it recently needed a new battery, supplied under warranty.

Fuel consumption is nowhere near yours, 22mpg over mixed driving seems to be the figure. This calculated from the amount of fuel put in and mileage, the trip computer figure was reading around 4mpg optimistically.

all the best

RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..
