Hi all,

Just swapped my SDV6 2014 for a 2013 V8 SC and I can’t get the small digital speedo read-out to appear above the fuel gauge as I had in my previous car. It’s not an option in the menu even when stationary and before starting the engine.

I even took it to LR main dealer today and they couldn’t get it to display either despite updating all the software onboard including gearbox and engine ECUs.

Oddly it will display if I change the display to KMH but that’s not very helpful however it does show there is the functionality of having it there.

I’d be very grateful for any ideas on how to do this.

Apologies for the thread-bump but I know there must be an answer to this out there somewhere and one of this forum’s helpful experts will be able to advise! Hugely grateful in advance as it’s so much harder to stick to 30/40mph speed limits having got used to the digital read-out! Thanks again.

you need a GAP iidtool to switch it on in the CCF..

the iidtool is locked to one vin.. you can pay GAP for an additional vin to be added..

Do most LR independent garages tend to have these GAP tools or in your mind, is my only option to spend £450 (or whatever GAP charge to enable a second VIN) to get a bl***y digital speedo?!
