2014 RRS Navigation upgrade

Hi Guys. First of all. Can I apologize for keeping on mentioning my now long-gone Freelander 2? Here goes. The FL2 had a sat nav box under the driver's seat. But my 2014 RRS doesn't. So how am I supposed to update the maps? I have heard that there is no CD ROM on the RRS. But It can take three hours to update. Using a USB memory stick. Do I have to go to a land Rover dealer for this stick? Coz I've been caught out before buying a knock-off cd ROM map discs on E*ay. Your guidance would be much appreciated once again. Thanks, Dave

Waste of money. Go for one of the many Iphone/Android head units (many forums on this) and you get much-much more Q for your money than with this hopelessly outdated navigation system. I know it, I've been there.
Just my 2c.

You can buy the maps https://landrovershop.here.com/web/WFS/HA-...roductList

Download onto USB and upload to the car. I've found it quite good, but not as good as my. £15 per year Tomtom Go app.

I updated my 2013 and must say it was a lot of money for quite an outdated system indeed. I mean it works and keeps it stock... but 9/10 we use the phones tbh. Bmszabo is correct Smile

Google Maps on the phone, set up the day's route on the PC , upload to the phone, phone in cradle. You get reasonably up to date maps, traffic conditions, active re-routing if a faster route exists, etc.. Why bother using LR's slow and out dated system? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
