Suspension fault immediately after MOT passes…

Hey all. Having a big issue today. Just had my MOT passed and as soon as I’ve driven out and onto dual carriage way got to about 60mph and I get big warning sign saying max speed 30mph suspension fault no forward alert available.

Immediately stopped the car as suspension has been dropped to the bottom. Restarted car moved suspension to off road and then back to normal mode but didn’t seem to work. Re did all this and eventually got rid of the message. Driving around home in mainly 30 zones no problem occurred but then as soon as I got back on dual carriageway same fault again!

I’ve taken it back to garage now but really concerned with: A; where do I stand with this? Not had this level of problem before it went in for MOT. Passes and then bang huge issue. Would anything they did on an MOT tamper with this?

B; look at the image I’ve attached. The 4x4 image has gone weird with one of the wheels completely out of place. Never seen this issue before ever.

I think I would start by having a look and checking the N/S/R height sensor and wiring for damage in case they managed to damage it in some way during the MOT.

Check both rear height sensors and their wiring as the rear axle is showing a cross axle type articulation - that's what's thrown the error and the drop in height to the stops. The system has done that to protect you so that part of the system is working properly.

I had this once when I had a EAS calibration issue but that was caused by me using the IIDTool to try to get all four corners to be exactly the same height (which seems to be almost impossible to achieve and pointless to attempt).

I don't think wheels are removed during an MOT so I don't see how they could have done anything to the sensors. I wonder if they did something silly when doing the brake efficiency test. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Or the tester got a little wayward with his calibrated rust detecting hammer and accidentally whacked a sensor/link arm, maybe 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S

I’ve mot’d loads of RR/RRS & never had a problem,only thing I can think of is when they have had it jacked up,one of the sensors might have come un-attached & this could be causing the problem,worth a check first. Andy.

One sensor would just show as one wheel being incorrect, not the entire rear axle being fully cross articulated like that. It's either both rear sensors or something else is awry. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
