Retro fit an electric steering column

I have bought and am rebuilding a 2007 Sport with an electrical fire.
The fire damaged mainly the wiring loom over the bulkhead with some residual damage to air intake, left rocker cover and various electrical connectors.
Having a donor vehicle I am in the process of the rebuild and in stripping the dash yesterday I, with great relief, discovered it had the manual steering column. I say relief as I needed to drop the column to remove the speedo head. The donor vehicle has the electrical one and I will be changing all the ECU's and BCU etc from the donor as I know they all work but cannot vouch for the project.
Is it a straight forward fit? The donor is a 2008 model. Current cars
