Had full LR extended warranttee on my MY16 Disco Sport.
Well worth the £1000 a year for the peace of mind imo.
And apparently they contibuted to some repairs out of warrantee provided you had full LR service history. 2009 RRS 3.0 TDV6 SP HSE

My MY17 RRS with full LR service history is on extended warranty after I bought it as an AU vehicle.
It runs out next year and I think I'll be renewing it with LR as I simply can't afford to be spunking £20k+ on a new engine if it goes bang.
I don't mind paying the extra few hundred quid a year when I get European LR assist and a hire car and my wife doesn't need the hassle either as she drives it when I work away.
Granted, it may not be the most economical choice, but from what I've read it seems to be the sensible choice if you keep it serviced with LR and fortunately for us our dealer is Kentdale Land Rover who have been nothing short of excellent.
