EPB module removal facelift

Hi All,

My EPB module has given up! TBF it happened a while ago, managed to remove, release the discs and have been driving without it for a while but about time I sorted it.

I have been reading all the guides and attempted it however have a small glich. It seems the facelift RR's have a an extra "support" beam underneath which slap bang in the way of the module.

Just wondered if anyone has managed to remove the module on a facelift sport?

Thanks

I gave the go ahead to cut this to fit a new module, then weld it back in place.

It did help that the welder is very good at his job.

Years ago I also gave the go on cutting a hole behind the dash mounted ashtray on a Mk 3 Cortina, so the camshaft could be removed without the engine having to be removed. In this case a plate was made and araldite was used to stick it over the hole.

I did a mates Cortina camshaft while working nights in a factory. I was the night-shift maintenance guy, so if nothing broke down, I had time on my hands. I never knew about the camshaft having to come out the rear so by the time morning was on the horizon I had to push the car back out the loading bay into the carpark and hide the cylinder head in my workbench. All back together next night but it was a bit of a panic. I stuck to simpler jobs after that. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014

Mk3 Cortina!
Used to lust after my mates (rusty) GXL2.0. Snapped the cambelt on my Mk4 2.0, but the 2 litre isn't an interference engine, so put another one on next day, on my parents drive, and off it went again! Those were the days!

None of this helps the OP, sorry! Embarassed Laughing
