Ok guys, what are all these dent pullers etc people always talk about on car forums? Needed to pull a good size dent and a long scratch out of a Freelander Mad 2002 Discovery Adventurer LE

Not personally used them but have heard good things about Chips Away...

They're franchised, so must have one local to you Andy.

Thanks, I've sent them an email to ask them. There is also a car I see about occasionly that I think does a similar service, I'll have to take down the number next time I see them. 2002 Discovery Adventurer LE

I almost used this bloke, the only reason I couldn't is that the dent was not accessible from the back.

Thanks, I'll try him. I think this dent should be easy to pull out, it's quite big, and there is a black stratch off the other car all down the car. 2002 Discovery Adventurer LE

Chipsaway don't do very big dents / long scratches. The dent guy that RRUK said about is very good so I have been told but he only does dents!
It may be that a proper bodyshop is your best route.
Good luck, hope it is not too painfull Wink

When I say big tent I'd say a bit bigger than the average guys hand, but I haven't looked at it that closely yet...

Might just keep it and call it a battle scar Wink 2002 Discovery Adventurer LE

I used a local bodyshop to get all the dings out of my RRS before going into sales mode with it.... I think there were 4 in various areas on the car and they did all of them for £175 cash. The bloke also spent ages showing me round and showing me how these devices that they use to remove dents work... quite interesting.

They also had Joan Armatrading's classic Merc SL in there (one of the late 60s/early 70s models - perfect condition) for some body work. Very nice. So she's obviously a local resident.... didn't know that.

Anyway... after talking crap for a couple of paras the point I was making was that Cliff has a good point. Local bodyshop's are often a good bet, esp if they will do cash jobs Very Happy

When my D3 bumper was keyed right across Twisted Evil Twisted Evil chipsaway did not want to touch it but got a price for a very small scratch on my van (solid red not even down to the primer) and he wanted £95 plus vat.
Local (very good) bodyshop repaired the D3 scratch for £100 plus VAT was well pleased Very Happy

Ok, will have to try looking on yell.com for a local bodyshop. I think there is too much damage just to leave it there Sad 2002 Discovery Adventurer LE
