Replaced loads of them too. Little frightening that the pipes on a 4 Yr old car has worse pipes than many, much older cars on the road |

Best to take the wheel off if you can’t get it in the air, look in between the air bag & top suspension arm & that’s the pipe.It is bad DM,I couldn’t believe it when mine went in for service & the said my rear brake pipes were corroded, like I said before I’ve got 10-15 & even older cars coming in for MoT with brake pipes like new.

4yrs is pretty bad! They must be made of Chineseum alloy I mean - I had the same advisory on my car, but at 10 years old that doesn't surprise me particularly.. at 4 years old I'd be shocked. 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S |

Easy enough to do if your mechanically minded, pipes goes from body in front of wheel fastens to top suspension arm & down to calliper.I bought my brake pipes from Advanced factors which are site sponsors for a lot less than LR dealers. Andy.

Only the rears seem to corrode on the L494. Andy.
