Remote heating

Hi my car has remote heating that you turn on via the Land Rover app. Only problem is if I don’t use the car for more 4 days it goes into sleep mode and I can’t use it which is ridiculous really. Any idea how you can extend this time period? Attached is a pic of what the app says.

Check the options, there is a facility somewhere to wake it up.

Do not have access at the moment to check exactly. Thumbs Up 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

Yes I have seen the wake up feature on the app but you can only set a day when you want the car to wake up so you can use the remote heating. Ok if you know which day you will use the car. I have a van I use as my Dailey driver so sometimes won’t use the Range Rover for 2 or 3 weeks. If I could wake the car up on the day I was going to use it would be good but you can’t wake it up on the same day for some reason, it only gives you the next day onwards as an option. On my last RRS I had a separate fob for the remote heating and was fantastic. Could use it anytime you wanted and never ever failed to work unlike the app operated version where sometimes you press start on the remote heating app then it waits a few minutes until it connects to the car and then sometimes never connects and says there is an error but you don’t realize until you get in the car and it’s cold. Give me the separate fob to work this any day…..

Do you actually have the FBH on your car?

Then maybe you can get a remote fob set up?

Yes it has the FBH fitted to the car from new. I assume that if I bought the remote by itself it would not work as I assume it would need the receiver unit to work it. When I bought the car 4 years ago I questioned where the remote heating fob was as I knew I had the remote heating fitted. They assured me they don’t come with the newer shape RRS and it’s all done via an app on your phone which it does.

Mine is a 2015 reg but 2016 MY. I don’t have the separate fob, I use the Land Rover app on the remote climate bit. Can you use yours on the app too?

Mines the SDV6 so maybe that’s the difference then as I think the FBH is standard on the SDV8.

Just looked at my topix spec sheet. It states fuel burning heater and park heating with remote control as separate items. That to me says I should have a separate remote for the park heating. I’ll call the dealers over the next few days and see if they can shed any light on it.

Just tried the new app and it’s exactly the same only there is no option for the wake up timer. It says car must be manually started to resume remote features. Photo of it is attached

So I thought I’d use the wake up timer on the remote heating tonight and wake the car up tomorrow as I knew I was going to use it then got this on the app. Surely the 4 day thing on the sleep mode of the car can be altered?
