Smart key not found

Hi, I started having the smart key not found few weeks back. I can open and lock the doors, but I can’t start the engine. If I put the keys in the backseat it starts no problem. Anyone have an idea?

Change the key fob battery? A faulty sensor at the front of the car? Strange as on my cars, if I put the keys in th back, if won’t find them and refuse to start (like leaving them in a jacket) Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

Thanx Jimmy, I have replaced the batteries it no good. Sensor in the front?!! Where about exactly? Thanx
