High beam bulb

Is the high beam a H7 bulb? Can anyone recommend some decent lights that don't have the yellow effect?

Also my dipped beam isn't as white as it used to be. Can these be replaced to a 6k or 7k bulb easily?

yeah, main beam is H7.
You won't get them as white is the HIDs

Yes you can get HIDs in different colours

I am aware you can get HID in different colours, but is it as simple as just changing the bulb? Or does the ballast need to be changed too?

The H7 is described by LR as a fill-in light to ensure good pattern spread. The main beam proper is provided by the xenon unit.

I've found that using Osram Nightbreakers for both gives a reasonably good similarity between the colours from the xenon and H7 units.

The xenon units come with the lump attached to them so you just change the whole thing as a single item. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

If you have =Xenons then the high beam is a fill in globe with the hi beam being provided by the HIDs in the outer lights.

If you dont have Xenons then the inner light are your hi beam.

If you have Xenons you can put an aftermarket H7 HID in the fill in - in a colour to match your Xenons.

If no Xenons just put in what ever you want in the H7 07MY RRS TDV6

As said the H7 main beam (on xenon models) is to.

1) Do the long range illumination.
2) Activate quickly to flash people.

Personally I wouldn't be fitting an aftermarket HID here. Cus it goes against the design

I run aftermarket H7 LED bulbs (6k) and together with the Xenons provide a fantastic output. Do a search on here for a thread on LED bulbs.
Run the same ones in my driving lights.
