Are you checking soon after you turn the car off? I think it takes about 10 minutes for all the systems to shut down and go into standby.

Based on my boat's batteries - at rest they should rest at around 12.8v MY17 RRS 4.4d V8 Autobiography - Aintree Green (also referred to on Topix as British Racing Green) |

12.03v is too low,, it's bordering on letting you down 12.6V is a fully charged battery. I have a monitor on mine, the battery is quite new and it never drops below 12.4 ( unless cranking of course). I even checked it against a good quality multimeter just to make sure it was a true readingj. 2010 RRS, TDV8

How long do you run the engine when it is running? If you're doing shorter journeys, the battery won't get charged up.

The trouble with batteries is that they will start now on a reasonable weather day, but come winter that is when is will let you down.

Ah, that does sound like it's FUBAR'd. What's the alternator's output like? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
