By on a car with ACE I assume you mean a Range Rover Sport.

Mine originated from Scotlandshire where the roads are permanently covered in road salt so its a bit rusty under there. You may be lucky and everything comes undone at the sight of a spanner |

I've never had that much luck! LR specialist has just quoted £332. Seems a lot but I guess if it's a nasty job, that explains it. |

A lot of people have had poly bushes fitted to the roll bars when they've had them changed, seems to offer a bit of insurance against having to revisit them later on again, I think this is something I'll be doing in the near future. |

I think £332 is a bit OTT, the poly-bushes (much longer lasting than gen LR rubber) are less than £20 each from memory (just checked; £28 for both before VAT). Sounds a lot of labour, I had a few other jobs done at the same time (rear struts, both front wheel bearings) and although each item wasn't broken down labour wise, the total labour was just over £400. As I mentioned, a lot of the fittings took longer than normal due to corrosion. |

Rears are a doddle to do. No special tools needed and access is simple compared with the fronts. I did mine last year. Mine is a 2010 TDV8 with Dynamic Response (ACE in old money |

Thanks, Seatown. I must admit, I did think the labour was a bit strong having thought about it. I reckon they're quoting about 3 hours work which seems a lot. The cars been down south all its life so I don't have too much corrosion underneath. Maybe I'll take a look but stop short of doing too much if it looks like the bolts aren't going to budge.
