I bought solids off eBay after being totally fed up with swollen nuts and needing 3 different sockets and a lump hammer in my car in case I got a puncture |

Yeah, the swelling is a PITA. I sealed around mine with clear silicone sealant between the cap and the nut underneath. Hopefully it'll reduce the risk. Kev

I've had brand new nuts that have had the covers go loose whilst they were being fitted for the first time. And that was using a torque wrench, in two stages. They're a rubbish design and a rubbish idea from the start. Quite what LR were thinking using them is beyond me. My current RRS has the solid nuts thanks to the previous owner, Rob, having fitted them. Thanks Rob. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Dang, replaced all mine last year with exactly the same type. Wish I'd have thought of just getting solid ones. Having said that, mine have lasted 15 years, so I don't feel too bad ... |

When one considers that they keep the wheels on and will last forever given care, three quid each doesn't seem to be expensive to me. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Well its expensive compared to knwatkins set at £24. I was not really looking for your opinion on expensive or not. The question I asked is where people bought them from. Range Rover Sport (gone): Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S: Range Rover Fifty P400e |
