Use Sport mode, but be gentle with the throttle.

Is this on the public road? Just drive normally but give yourself plenty of extra time. No big accelerations and no big braking episodes. You can use the gearbox in manual mode to help on downhill sections along with the brakes. Start any descent slowly and keep the speed down all the way down the hill. Gentle braking but don't ride the brake or you'll cook them.

Just drive normally in hi range but take corners a bit wider and take things slower. I do a lot of towing in my hilly part of Wales and its no different to standard driving, except when you meet someone coming the other way on a single-track road |

Why doesn't it have Sport mode - all RRS have sport mode. Just move the gear lever to the left and you are in sport mode - the Sport indication will come up on the dash under the digital oddometer. 07MY RRS TDV6 Arctic Frost Aspen Interior |

Land Rover recommend starting in low range when towing heavy loads.

The beauty of the LR system is that starting in low and changing up to high range on the move is easy to do. It'd be worth doing if on an up hill start, certainly. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
