Help With DAB and Bluetooth

Hi
I have a 2012 RR Sport
I installed one of those Unique Development Car Play units and it works reasonably well.
The problem is that, if I connect my phone to the Range Rover's built-in Bluetooth, this kinda messes things up, as the phone will then sometimes connect to the idcore Bluetooth (the Car Play unit) and sometimes to Bluetooth.
Plus, you have to go into the stereo's setting to change from Aux to Bluetooth and can't just flick through the inputs.

The Unique Developments instructions talks about changing Range Rover Bluetooth settings so that it is connected for calls, but not for music, but I cannot find any settings like this?

Separately, nothing tunes in on the DAB receiver, would anyone know why that might be?
I'm in Ireland, BTW.

-Thanks

Hi pomistea

Don’t know about calls but I had a problem with my music playback. I just got my phone to “forget” the car and it’s fine. You shouldn’t need to have your phone Bluetoothed to the car as you can do everything through carplay?

Hi
Unfortunately I don't think carplay is good enough.
You need your phone connected to the Range Rover bluetooth in order to make / receive calls using the built-in microphone and steering wheel buttons.

Apart from anything, the carplay unit has its own microphone, which you would have to wire up to be close enough to you to pick up your voice correctly, which is an added hassle.
