Tdv8 3.6 sump

Hi, trying to find out what the plate at the bottom of sump is for and if it can be removed to do oil change as the sump plug is toast thanks

There are two drain plugs on the TDV8. Both should be used. If the lower one is stuffed, how about draining the other one and then using a suction pipe down the dipstick to get out the remainder? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for reply Iv'e already tried sucking oil out via dip stick but its only removed a couple of pints have thought of removing oil temp sensor to drain it that way

As said, there are two drain plugs so it might be worth using the other one and seeing how much you get out.

I did wonder about the temperature sensor but no idea how easy it is to damage it etc. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Perceived with the suction pump and after what seemed like forever finally got the oil out poured some fresh oil in and sucked that out aswell so now its replace turbo drain plug the filter and top up with oil thanks for comments 👍
