The map updates for InControl Touch Pro that the OP refers to are for the 2017 onwards models, Cost is £129 for a three year subscription and new map updates are available to download monthly - so not actually bad value compared to some manufacturers.

Updates to the earlier systems were notoriously poor value for money (usually about £170 for a map that wasn't necessarily up to date) were either on a USB stick requiring a key code which was unique to the vehicle VIN or worse, a dealer only update.

Thank you for your feedback. I have purchased and had installed the unit. I do howvere have issues re connection. I have a samsung Galxy S20 rnning Android 11 which meets the requiremts of the system.
Are yiu using an Apple with Car Play or Android?
My issue is that sometimes it connects straight away and other times the dsettings screen comes up and I have to scrol down to Android icon to then see my phone and connect manually. Surely this is not right?
I am in discussion wth the support at UAD but it's poor to say the least. I;ve been awaiting on support and nly by really shaking h tree and advising I would put my issus on this Forum page did I get an immediete reply. stilll ot sorted though as I write. Hopefull it will get resoved.
