Retrofit Dynamic Mode to Late-Model RRS?

As per the subject line, has anybody been able to activate the Dynamic mode option after purchase? I am guessing that it is a programmable option, enabled in software, versus dedicated hardware, but happy to be corrected. MY21.5 HSE 221KW D16

technically feasible, but probably not worth the megabucks required to do so.

IIRC, Dynamic makes use of ACE and TVBB via the rear e-diff? --

Dynamic mode is part of Terrain Response 2. Probably would require a new Terrain Response module to get it. Also, the non-Dynamic models have single speed transfer box with a torsen style centre diff set to give a different front/rear drive proportioning. TR2 will be designed to use the hi/low transfer box with its controllable centre diff. Dynamic also uses adaptive dynamics which might not be included in the non-Dynamic models.

I think the answer is to sell the non-Dynamic and buy a Dynamic. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

It is possible, but easier and much (much, much, much!) cheaper to sell up and buy one already fitted Thumbs Up

But, but… my MY2021.5 HSE already has Terrain Response 2 and CVD. It just does not have “Terrain Response 2 with Dynamic Program”. That was the basis for my question, ie is “Dynamic Program” enabled purely in software or is there also different hardware?

Yeah, perhaps I should have bought the Dynamic, but at the time I balked at the ~AUD10K difference, especially at a time when the economy was on edge due to covid. C’est la vie. MY21.5 HSE 221KW D16
