United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Loire blue

Hi all

Anyone out there got a Loire blue RRS?

We are possibly going a fair way to see one on Monday. It has black wheels etc and it is so hard to get a feel from the photos. We don't want to end up with a car looking like gangsters.

It does not seem to be a popular colour in this car.

Thanks as always

Speaking from experience of having owned a Loire blue and now Portofino blue car it really needs a light interior to show at its best. Black with blue on interior/exterior trim and wheels really can make the blue look dull.

Hi Tim

Car looks lovely. Portofino blue is stunning.

The interior has Ebony seats with Ivory door cards and dash.

We are just concerned that the exterior would look really dark

I really don't like the paint in black or dark grey as to me they can look dull. I don't find the same with dark blue although I sure others have an alternative and valid point of view. I think you have to look at it and make your decision.

I have a Farallon Black one which is like mega dark blue and goes metallic blue in the sunlight. I like the blue colours a lot and would pick it over grey or black pretty much every time, but as Tim says, I also think they need a light interior. They even look better with silver lettering instead of the black, in my opinion.

Loire Blue with Ivory or Cirrus interior looks awesome especially if there is no privacy tints on the rear as it shows the pale leather interior off really well, very regal and not often seen on the sports more so in l405's

Dark body colours always work well with light interiors and the reverse is the same too.

White looks best with Grey or Black interior, Ive seen a lot with ivory interior and they do look nice but to me its when you open the door and see brilliant white doors shuts and then ivory leather which then looks kinda dirty againts the White bodywork.

But the Ivory interior does look good had it in my L320 with Black bodywork

Dont see many in Blue so its kinda rare most L494 seem to be Black, White or Gunmetal colours which to be fair do look good If a jobs worth doing, get a someone who knows what they are doing to do it!
