Hi Guys

Ive decided to change the pollen filter in the car as whilst it was stood still for best part of a month while the engine was being repalced the AC as gone a bit wiffy on first start after a few seconds aybe to a minute the smell has gone. its not that bad to be honest have smelt far worse AC.

Anyway whilst Im at it I thought I might try and change the filters for the ventilated seats, I assume they must have some as the older model had and the Jags did. so I was looking for part numbers etc... but couldnt really find them, so I asked LRparts who said they didnt have filters and then rang LR to check and they said they said the same they just have soem clip on filters that can be cleaned if needed.

Just wondered if anyone has done this or has any more info. The cooling function seems to be ok but thoight if the files were perhaps gettign clogged the air flow will be reduced so this would help them be as efficient as they can be.

Im guessing these things are not replaced or clean as part of a service (not sure if the pollen filter is either)

Any info is appreciated

They usually don't need replacing. Just unclip them from under the seats and give them a good cleaning with some washing up liquid. Blast them out with the tap, dry thoroughly and reinstall. Kev

Ok cool are they both under the seat I’m guessing there is one for the backrest to? If a jobs worth doing, get a someone who knows what they are doing to do it!

There are two filters I believe but only the one is accessible. Have a look under the seat and you will see it. Kev

So changed over the pollen filter which looked like it has never been changed at all!

Also the bottom of the seat at the fron edge look undrneathe and there is the little white filter element looks like a small furry coffee filter! twist it off give it a balst with an air can or compressor if you have one to get any fine stuff out then take it indoors and put the shower head onto skin strip mode with a little soap and its clean, let it dry and twist back in.

I cant find the backrest one and I gussing the palstic back of the seat will need to come off so not sure I can be bothered with that as it would appear to be less exposed anyway.

I only did the base ones in mine as they are close to the floor and most likely to get most of the dust. I'd imagine the other ones never even get dirty. Kev
