When you get ADSL (if your broadband service is indeed ADSL and not cable), you get to share one circuit with several other people, it's not just yours. In the UK, the usual ratio is 1:50 for el cheapo deal ADSL - you can sometimes pay your provider a bit more and get less contention (e.g. 1:25)... this is why sometimes your ADSL may seem slower at certain times than others. |

Yes, I think so - although to a lesser extent if I remember rightly. Haven't done anything with ISDN for years...
