I had a rattle in the roof above my head and it was the airbag in the roof lining that was not secured properly. I could make it click by pressing the roof lining in the grab handle area. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Further update on the pano roof rattle. Local dealership ( Stirling ) had the car for 1 week. Dropped the headlining, aligned the blind runners and reinstated everything. They then went for a run and rattle still there. Next step is to remove the pano glass by which they can’t get any company local to carry out so it’s being sent to Perth LR Bodyshop for further investigation. Spoke to their Bodyshop manager and they need the car for 1 week as it’s a “ big job “

I refer to my earlier post...check the rear lip at the leading edge of the pano roof.... the mushroom weld rivets holding the three layers of outer skin and strengthening spars fail.... which is why the panel creaks when the temperature rises! |

Update :- Perth LR body-shop had the car for 5 days and initially couldn’t detect the rattle from the roof area. On day 3 they took the sport out on a different road and could hear the noise. Upon investigation they noticed a clip was loose between the headlining and pano roof which they reattached but they couldn’t state for defo this was the issue. The dealership sent the info to LR HQ and in turn the instructed the dealership to lubricate the pano roof seal with an anti-static paste / grease. I was asked to take the sport and run it for a time to see if the noise re-appears. If it does then they will reopen the case and progress to the next step ( pano- roof removal ! ). At the moment all is good . Time will tell ………., |

Glad to hear you seem to have had yours sorted - fingers crossed. It does seem to be a known issue as Taggarts Glasgow had a few in when I had my problems. Given the model has been around for about 8 years and fixed panos are now standard on the HSE Silver, HSE Dynamic Black and HST you’d have thought they’d have worked out how to nail them together properly by now, but apparently not…!! |

Hi thanks. On a side issue, has anyone noticed a foam filled small black bag stuffed into the underside of the bonnet vents ?
