Hi folks I’m looking at replacing my original main tailgate struts. They’re a bit unhelpful going up and are distinctly overwhelmed when closing. I’ve sent a message to Duckworth parts but are there any recommendations on non genuine parts. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

I've bought 2 for my tailgate last month from here. No problems at all. 10 minutes to fit.

LR029320 - left hand, force of 755 Newtons. (OEM part number 6H32-406A10-BB and has blue writing).

I contacted Autodoc as a Uk supplier of Stabilus, gave my chassis number and they replied with these

LHS (red) on my car - BHE790044

In the end I just purchased the ones from Advanced Factors. Seems like I got a bit carried away and life’s too short  2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Got mine from PowerfulLtdUk. Changed within minutes and quick delivery

After 7 months the tailgate gas struts I bought from FleaBay no longer work. (See my entry of 3/1/21 above and don't waste your money buying these.)

I've replaced them with proper LR ones which are much stronger and should last! BHE790043 for the LH side, and BHE790053 for the RH side. About 15mins to replace them both.  Barrie.
