RRS L320 - 295's on the rear, 275's on the front?

Hi,

I'm thinking of putting some 295 tyres on the 20 inch stormer rims I have already on the rear of RR, but keeping the 275 on the front as they are brand new.

Do you think it will look weird or is there any issues running this setup.

Cheers for your advice guys!

Personally I wouldn't do it, although the profile may be the same at 40 the actual wall height will be different between the 275 and the 295 width tyre, making different diameter of around 16mm between the front and rear wheels which might confuse the traction control/abs etc.

Cheers
Col

Oh really??

I didn't realise that...always thought the profile is the height of the side wall.

Cheers Col.... Thumbs Up

A 40 profile tyre is 40% of the width of the tyre i.e 275 tyre gives 110mm wall height a 295 tyre gives walll height of 118mm.

Cheers

Oh how interesting, thanks col, didn't know about the % wall height.

I just assumed that it would be only the width was different.

Well I've bought a spare pair of rims with the 295 tyres already fitted. Only while I have my stormers powder coated.

It's a shame as the condition of the tyres is better then my current rears 🙄
Perhaps as I already have the wheels I might just swap the rears over and see how it drives.. Will look very odd but Censored it.
