l320 pre facelift headliner removal

anyone got any pics/guides on how to do it?

ill be replacing it with a different one that'll have some nice sexy black material.

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

I guess.

Remove all the pillar trims.
Torx required for A and C pillars. (Behind airbag badge)
I think you remove the black trim below the seat belt and then the upper part pulls down
Remove handles
Remove lights
Remove sunvisors
May need to fold seats down flat
Pull door seals down slightly.
Extract out the back.

Do take some pics with it out.
Any spare plugs up there ?

Yeah Ive got the old dvd player plug up there. but the dvd player is all disconnected nad out. ive also removed headliner and all orange foam from the old one. looks like this currently

I used a metal brush at first. but then got these to blast through it

also got some paint primer and black paint to do all the handles and plastic trim pieces as well

I do have a pdf of the Body and Paint section of the workshop manual for a 2007 pre-facelift car somewhere, which includes interior trim and the headliner removal. If its of any use I can see if I can find it and post a link.

Tbf didn't see this till it was too late 😂

Some tips for anyone doing it.

Do it in pieces and make sure you use plenty of material for the grab bars so it's not tensioned.

Also anyone know of 2012 sun visors would fit a preface lift? Since I've made a mess of them 😂

Plus from the pictures it looks like it would fit

They did fit. Thankfully you can't see the imperfections anyways given nobody looks up 😂
