Hi Eagle77 - this is awful. I ordered in feb and the book was closed end of Feb - I test drove in March - with the dealer knowing that if I said no, I wouldn't be going ahead with the order. Anyway test drive was as hoped and it has arrived in the dealership and I am due to pick up mid-June.

the dealership even sent me a video during lockdown of confirmation of order etc.

I had read a lot about poor service, Guy Salmon in Wakefield have been good, but glad I didnt see your probs before ordering. I hope you get it sorted! I am have gone for the Porsche given the troubles!

and so it continues....ended up going to the showroom and demanding to see the sales manager this afternoon - still no view when it might arrive....maybe next week maybe June as it has not been released by the factory and no one knows why given it has been built. Had agreed to sell my car privately tomorrow so now that has fallen through, asked for a courtesy car until the they can finally supply the car but dealer refused citing lack of available cars. Did get lots of apologies for falling short on customer service (it seems everyone is queuing up to buy Range Rovers at the moment!) and eventually did agree to a comprise that keeps me in my car until they can supply and no worse off. Will see how it goes - did find a new Porsche Cayenne available for immediate delivery so wondering if perhaps might gone down that route if the delays become silly.

Eagle77, any news?

Update from my side - just had a call with LR:
ordered 24.3.2021
Expected delivery date: July 2021

LR updated me, that with the option "surround camera system" they can't really tell when the RRS will be delivered. It could be, that the delivery will be in 2022 (!)
Without the surround cameras it could be August, but they can't tell for sure.
based on LR, the states are changing permanently..

My decision was: keep the surround camera system. I will be in a regurarly exchange with LR about my car. next exchange: early July Range Rover Sport HST D350

Hi - the car is now supposedly on its way to my dealer having been released from the factory - fingers crossed for collection next weekend. I also have the 360 camera and drive pro pack so wondered if that might have been the cause of the delay. MY2022 HSE Silver D300 in Firenze Red with black contrast roof

happily, you have a short delay of 2-3 weeks, right? I suppose that this is a "normal delay".

I am wondering how it will proceed with my car Smile the surround camera I kept. let's see when I will get it Smile

@eagle77

You wrote that you are looking forward to pick up next weekend. I suppose you meant tomorrow or Saturday, right?

Any news from the dealer regarding your delivery? Range Rover Sport HST D350

I can see you are struggling with the wait on your side! My car has now arrived at the dealers and will be ready for collection next week.

Since I aired my opinion on the level of service the other week with them I can say that they have been very good keeping me in the loop.

Anyway here is a pic of the car pre prep:

Eagle,

Looks very nice but I’m biased having a Firenze red one just now! What reason has the dealer gave you for the hold up? JLR quality control?

No real reason other than delays impacting deliveries from factory and scheduling transportation. Seems demand has gone crazy for RRSs. MY2022 HSE Silver D300 in Firenze Red with black contrast roof

@Eagle77

thank you. Looks great! now, I am happy that I have ordered an Ivory headlining in my Firenze red HST. looks awesome!

Yes, I am struggeling and now I don't know what is going on. had again a call today with my dealer and they are extremly honest and fair. they told me that they were overrun with the information themselves.
They also had the opinion, that with the ordering and with a build-timeframe (May 2021) all parts should be on stock, but it isn't like that. this point was also new for my dealer.

now, I will wait and hope for some semiconductor-miracles Smile

cheers and enjoy this beauty! Range Rover Sport HST D350

hi all

just got a call from LR Switzerland.

my question was if it's somehow able to foreseen what will happen. because I firstly got a build-frame (May 2021), then 23th July and now, based on the semiconductor bottleneck, it's not defined

LR CH told me, that they are in a strong contact with LR headquarter. basically they get new information on daily basis and these informations they forward to the dealers.
as answer to my question: he was so sorry, but he couldn't tell me "it could be then and then". I explained him that for me it's OK, if I know "it will come in November". The trouble is, that it's undefined

I will be in a strong contact with my dealer, which is extremely professional

let's see what happens Smile
cheers

Just had some good news from my broker, my car is at the dealers over a week early, getting delivered to me a week on Friday which will be 14 weeks from date of order, I could have taken it earlier but next Friday suits me better.

So to give some of you a positive spin it seems if you have a build date & it’s not moved out due to the semi conductor shortage, you might get it on time or even early!

Got my Zappi charger fitted yesterday, very impressive bit of kit, anyone getting a hybrid especially if you have PV on your house, should definitely get one!

Counting the sleeps now until next Friday!

Cheers

Malc

Hello Malc

Sounds good Smile
Then you have ordered your car in week 11 (15th to 21th of March), right?
That is one week earlier than I ordered

Do you have 360 camera also?
This option is affected by the semiconductor limitation in my configuration..

Had first a build date in May, then 23th of July and now it's undefined..

I am still hoping that some "semiconductor miracle" happens Very Happy Range Rover Sport HST D350

Harrison,

I ordered mine 15th of March, mine is virtually a standard p400e HSE black edition, only extra is opening pano roof but it had everything I wanted on it anyway, I would have thought with mine being the hybrid it would have had more of these in it than the new diesel range but maybe not? Either that or I just got my order in before they really started to struggle for supply?

As mine is on a lease this time it has to be returned at the end so I have to admit the cost of the extras that I may use very little put me off, that’s why I decided on the special edition model.

Good luck with yours.

Malc

Hi Malc

Thank you
I ordered mine on 24th of March
My dealer told me, that in my configuration the 360 cameras are affected...

I could delete it and MAYBE get the car in August (no guarantee) or keep it as is and have in mind that the delivery could take until December...

A lot of "could" and "maybe" Smile Range Rover Sport HST D350
