Remap MPG 3.0 sdv6 l320 Alive

Ive had a search but theres not much on this. I drive like an 80 year old in my RRS mostly with the odd blip. I am sitting at about 30mpg town mostly with the odd run.
I will be going to disco mikey at some point in the near future for an alive map.
Does anyone have any experience with mpg after the remap? 10% or so?

Had my 62 reg sdv6 remapped at Alive headquarters a about 3 years ago when I owned it and it transformed how the car drove.
On the way to Alive I got 28 mpg at 75mph on cruise control and after it was done I was seeing 37 mpg on the way home.

On trips from sussex to Devon I regularly got 30 + mpg and most importantly I got rid of that delay on pull away 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

Thank you! Seems too good to be true really Smile
The delay is annoying, it doesnt seem to always do it either so its hard to judge. I was going to map it myself but it seems these lot have done all the research and are very well spoken of.

I assume youve not had issues with the DPF etc since?

Never had any DPF problems in the 3 years I owned it before or after the remap but I did give it a good run at least once a week and didn’t do loads of short journeys which tends to be what causes the DPF issues.

Only sold it due to wanting something newer and was going for a TDV8 diesel but came home in a SVR so no DPF worries for me now. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

Aye she does a lot of short trips... but I guess we can cross that bridge when we come to it. I did consider mapping it out.... but that brings its own hassles as well Sad

Just a question, if someone in a small business can remap an engine to improve performance and fuel economy, why is it that the designer and manufacturer who are considerably better resourced cannot offer an optimum design straight from the factory?
If they will ditch things like a spare wheel to save weight (to presumably improve economy) you would think that engine software would already be as good as it could be. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014

When a car is on a standard map - from factory it is designed to be within certain tollerences we will never see in various countries. Our cars for instance wont see -40c and +40c so it can be refined to remove these limitations etc. Some of the limits installed are also emmisions targets set by the gov and so on and so forth.
