Started car up yesterday & engine management light came on,I plugged my diagnostics machine & the code came up with Turbo/Supercharger over boost condition,,car was running fine so I cleared the code,,should I call LR assist & explain what happened or just leave it as the car is running fine. Andy.

Just had same code come up and like you engine seems to be running fine.

Sold car last year,,later on after that happened I had problem with throttle body sticking,you could try some throttle body cleaner on the flap inside to help it,mine in the end went into Lr & had new throttle body fitted under warranty. Andy.

Thanks, I found the thread about it and your photo of throttle body clip. So just removed mine and flap was a bit sticky so freed it and just off to Halfords to get some cleaner to spray on.

Make sure it’s throttle body cleaner,,you don’t want anything going in the inlet to f@@k it up. Andy.

Hi all, I am hoping you can help or share your wisdom!
I picked up my new to me RRS 2017 sdv6 2 days ago and today driving to work noticed the engine management light on. Called RAC who plugged it in and showed a reading 3 readings of P0234 ( turbo charger engine boost conditioner exceeded )
The car drove as normal and would not have know should I have not noticed the light.
The RAC reset it and said to see if it comes back on.
First question is will the fault re-appear in the form of the EM light now it has been reset…. If a problem exists?
I drove it home tonight for 12 plus miles since it has been reset and no issues.
2nd point / question - the previous owner did very few miles Over the past 6 months and I drove 100miles to get the car home. Could this have any bearing on this code being activated in terms of giving it a long run down the motorway?
The car has full LRSH and was serviced only a few thousand mikes ago. Not a great start and feel I will just be paranoid waiting for the light to deactivate
Any advice / shared experience greatly appreciated.

Throttle body sticking,I had same problem & LR fitted new throttle body under warranty.You could pull the pipe off the throttle body & spray with throttle body cleaner as it will free it off but don’t know for how long.Put a screwdriver under the metal clip pictured & pull it up then pull pipe off.

Thanks for the update, the light came back on today during a very steady drive home 😩
It’s booked into an independent LR garage tomorrow so fingers crossed will get it sorted. Not filled me full of confidence for a car Iv had for 3 days!

How did you solved the issue . I have the same thing with the overboost and dpf not regenrating . I ve change the throttle body and the map sensor and the overboost came back ! Please help i just bought the car and i dont know what else to do !
