New user not new owner but need help

Hi all

Been on here a before and think the knowledge base is unreal but this is the first time I have joined. I have just sold my 2007 rrs hst tdv8 and loved every second of my ownership apart from when the turbos went in never left me stranded in my 8 years of ownership. I had the usual issues everyone gets with them and the bills to go with but I still loved that car every time I drove it.

Am now looking for a new one and am after some help. I have up too 35k and want something special. Ie with a body kit or at a price were I can put one on after.

Things I need some advice on.

Do I worry about mileage ? Will their be much difference between a 50k or 80k miler if the services have been done

Year been looking at 2015 on but is their really much difference between the 2013 and 2015 facelift ?

And engine I really love a v8 and have been looking at the 4.4 over the 3 litre what’s the pros and cons on the speck the talk bhp and speed is not that far away from each other.

And last but not least anything I should be looking out for ?

Thanks for any help I have been looking around but their are that many similar specked rrs that it’s hard to choose

Thanks cal

Bodykit? Special? Really?

Ah, Cheshire. Ok then.

Whistle Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

The 4.4 SDV8 is a cracking motor and above 2k rpm is noticeably more grunty than the SDV6. The thing about headline figures is that they're often misleading. Where the 3.0 SDV6 gets to maximum torque earlier (and thus makes slightly more power initially), the 4.4 SDV8 has an artificially limited torque curve. Once you et above 2k rpm, the bigger motor just pulls away.

If you just want to cruise around looking good, the 3.0 will be perfect. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for that defo think am going to have to test the two, it will mainly be a second / third car I have a pick up I use for work and the wife has a car she uses for work. It will be getting used for them long trips with the kids in the back. I used to love the sound of my old tdv8 and like the fact that it had loads of power if you needed it even for a big old lump.
