RRS MY68 upgraded infotainment system to S21A_2110.6-676616 this week and now I don’t get any sound from any of the CarPlay navigation apps (Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps). All other sound on CarPlay (music, messages etc) works fine. And LR navigation sound works fine.

Anyone else had this? I’m pretty sure it was the update as it worked fine on a long trip 2 days before I updated it. Is there any way to get the previous version back on there?

I have issues with DAB radio loosing signal fading in/out since the upgrade.

I haven’t noticed any problems with the DAB radio and had it on for a few hours today.

Have you tried any navigation apps with CarPlay since upgrading?

I’ve noticed the same problem. Music works fine on car play, as do audiobooks via the library apps, but no voice on Waze or Google maps. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

I found a thread on Reddit where a couple of users were also having the same problem since updating to the latest infotainment update. I’m not sure if it’s possible to rollback to an earlier update? I’m going to ask LR dealer next week

It started working again! I'm getting voice guidance now through Waze via CarPlay (haven't tried the other nav apps yet). There has no been Land Rover infotainment update that I can see. But my iPhone updated to iOS14.6 so assume it must have been that.

Just caught sight of this post. JLR acknowledge it is an issue with the 21A software.

I found I had sound on Waze yesterday!

The difference, I think, was that I used Spotify on Car Play at the same time. I had previously used either the car radio or AccuRadio app on the iPhone.

There has been no JLR update. It’s possible there was a phone update, but I don’t think so and it would be a bit of a coincidence.

Updated mine the other week and it seems to be working again! Which is good as I’ve missed the occasional motorway exit without the voice. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB
