Norway 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Fuji White
RRS 06 shock absorber

Hello.

My Range Rover Sport 2006 is quite soft on the suspension so I want to put on some stiffer dampers. Anyone here who has any great suggestions for me? Very Happy

Well they have air suspension, so I i'm not sure you can do anything about it.

Maybe you should have purchased a later model with dynamic suspension

You can replace the damper that is inside the airbag and then you can mount Bilstein for example.
So wondering if anyone has experience with it.

Bilstein has two type : B4 and B6
Bad (personal) experience whit B4 , a garbage
I can't believe that a serious and famous manufacturer could not stoop so much
On other side, to be optimistic , maybe the B6 series better (and uprated than B4)
Also tried Dunlop and they are even a worse scrap than Biltein , if possible (and it's)
Currently i've oem , without problem

Regards

I'd also be interested in hearing if anyone has managed to find uprated shock absorbers.
I've replaced all four corners with air bag \ shock absorber assemblies from BWI (with landrover sticker on them) and find the car is under damped, especially on fast country roads. I also replaced upper and lower control arms, all sway bat bushes and linkages, all seals in air system and bled the Active roll bars.
When shopping for shox I found some places list Bilstein B6 for cars without Active Roll bars but not for those with it (like my tdv8). I don't know what the difference is and how much a difference the shox meant for cars with or without ARB is.
I've also seen some fancy shox by Matzker (german language site but google translate works ok) that seem fantastic if you can believe their website. But for the price I'd like to hear from someone else that has tried them first.
If I could afford to change cars for something with the electronic shox I would, but car prices here and my budget don't match.
If original poster can update us on any progress that would be great. Pete
