Hi, Does anyone know if there is a serivce schedule for the electrically deployed towbar on my 2016MY? We haven't towed much this last year for obvious reasons and the electrical socket which pulls down is very stiff. I was wondering if the tow bar mechanism should be re-greased periodically.

I am in the same situation, i usually deploy the towbar every couple of months and lubricate the socket pins and its mounting with GT85 and also the pivot for the towbar. I never use WD as it hardens the plastic on the socket over time. In winter i also grease the ball and put a cover over it before moving it to the parked position, just need to give it a degrease and clean when i start using it again.

agree with Sudds, we have just returned with the tintent and I put some chain wax on the ball before sending back out of site.

just then needs a wipe over with degreaser before next use.
