Soon I will need to think about changing my discs and pads on my 2012MY SDV6 and I was wondering what to go for.

I would like decent branded parts but I am not sure to go for original Land Rover, or I have seen the Brembo option on a Rimmer Bros you tube video. Are they worth it for the extra cost?

I don't know what's on there at the moment as they were on it when I got it last July.

What does everyone recommend?

Also, can anyone recommend any other suppliers?

I have used gen LR discs/pads in the past on my D3, but this time round I put Brembo's on the front (I kept an eye on various sites and ended up buying from ECP when they had a discount event on and put them aside until needed), and the Meyle kit from Advanced Factors on the rear. I couldn't wait for the rears as one of the pins holding the EPB shoes had failed and they were making a horrid noise.
In truth, although the Brembo's are perfectly fine (no doubt made in PRC), if money were no object I would go for gen LR.

Brembo Discs every time, and not only for LRs, I use them on everything. Go for the High Carbon Content ones, a little more in cost, but worth it when considering the weight of these machines.

Get them from Autodoc in Germany, usually a little over half the cost from anywhere in the UK.

Around 6 months ago I replaced the front discs and pads on my TDV8. After a bit of research I went for Britpart XS discs and TRW DTEC pads (low dust).

I've been really impressed so far with the performance of this combo and it's very noticeable how much cleaner the wheels are with the low dust pads and even after the perma-salt roads of a Scottish winter the discs show no rust marks and remain very clean and bright. The red backing on the pads together with non rusty discs looks nice too!

I've got a set of the same ready to go onto the rears in the next few weeks.

Agree with Seatown with regards to pads, D-TEC are very good and the bonus is low dust.

Have them in the rears of both of my motors, and were in the front of my Disco until I went for a bigger brake set up.

LR OEM brake components are made by Brembo, Ferodo and TRW are they not RRS SVR Estoril Blue, Huracan Performante Spyder Rosso Mars, Tesla Model X Black

I've changed the pads all round on my SVR to EBC Yellowstuff pads as the rears needed replacing and the standard Landrover pads were crap if you drove the car hard for a few miles.

When asking what to use EBC was the only brand people were coming up with.

Wheels are black so show the dirt more than brake dust so, so far so good.

I replaced my discs with grooved ones from https://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk. Pads are kevlar based. Cost £190 delivered for my Brembo set up.

I've always found his disc/pad combos really good and fade free. First set of discs on the RRS lasted 70k+ miles, with one pad change but no drop in efficiency. There's a lot of towing and spirited driving in there and I just love late braking
