Just wondering because a mate has been vert taken with my new P525 that he was thinking of getting one but when I went to try and configure one for him it no longer exists! Does anyone know if this a temporary supply issue (which would be odd as the SVR is still listed and uses the same engine) or something more permanent? Thanks.

Obviously the 5l engine is eventually being replaced, so it wouldn't surprise me if they aren't saving the few remaining engines for SVR's.

Eventually they will both be replaced by the BMW 4.4. But i understand that there is a big rush on the 5l engine before it goes! Now

That is what I thought too, they were now making it in-house and as such it has had a stay of execution, precisely because it is so popular, with good reason!

In this context it appears odd that you would remove the P525, as although I suspect the SVR outsells it by a considerable margin, there does appear to be demand for this model. They never hang around for a long time when they hit a dealer!

Hopefully it will come back and this is just a minor disruption.
