Yeah I get that. I’ve got gap insurance too so I’ll get what I paid for it.

Went to the body shop for something I left in the car and the guy I spoke to said it doesn’t look promising.

Looking in all the usual places there’s nothing like it for the price with the spec and colours. I’ll have to share the wife’s car for a bit till something comes up.

When someone rear ended my dad a few years ago, his insurance company said that it was them who would pay out, and then claim it off the guilty parties insurance company.

The insurance companies have a knock for knock agreement between themselves apparently.

When it was 'written off' as not an economical repair, we bought it back and repaired it ourselves, but his insurance company would not insure it, he had to go elsewhere.

Well insurance company confirmed this morning and has issued a payout. In fairness to LV its only £1500 less than i paid for it this time last year. Gap insurance will top up the rest.

Ah well, as long as you're not too far out of pocket, that's not too bad an outcome overall. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
