Had a quick look the other day at the Mrs 2014 SDV8 service menu but couldn't find the menu where it tells you how long until the next service is due etc. Do the 2014 have this?

Or I'm just being daft and need to look again

Are you lmtrying to look for it with engine running?

I think you have to do it before you start engine....ie press the start button without pressing the brake pad to switch on car but not the engine... then should be able to navigate using the menue button on steering wheel.
