At least we now know that we can easily drive through a wall and carry on if we needed to, i hope your detailer was insured. |

He wasn't insured. Thats another story in itself but he paid for everything, and the RRS looked better than ever once it was fixed. Only cost around £3k to fix it all. and he also rebuilt the wall within about 4 days. The best part is that he was going to give up his new company venture but I told him to stick with it. He's quite successful now and looks after the detailing for a lot of very nice cars. Including all of my cars ever since, plus, I'm going to drop this RRS off with him in the next few weeks and I can't wait to see the look on his face.

I'll post up how it goes but I pretty much know already. I had my last one remapped by Alive and it was a different beast completely. So much Tq. 790Nm I think it was and over 320bhp. Made it a pleasure to drive on the motorway. Ive had all sorts of high performance cars over the last 34 years but the RR was the only one I got done for speeding in |

And a perfect display of what torque can do Previously owned 1999 Disco 2 TD5 Disco 3 HSE TDV6 2007 Gone 2007 TDV8 RRS1 in Buckingham Blue. How do know if the knocking at the front has been sorted? You can hear the knocking at the rear better |

As was written somewhere, bhp is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you. Present-2008 RRS TDV8 HST

I am interested in this as, whilst I love my TDV8 and its ability to get up and go when I touch the right pedal, at around 60mph on the motorway, it does seem relatively a bit sluggish from 60 to 70.... Is this (apparent?) poorer performance what you are referring to? Robin 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 Gone: Jaguar S-Type V8 4.2 Sport MGZTT 190 2.5 |

I had my last one mapped using the Alive Tuning software and it transformed the car. I'm planning on getting this one done asap too. Its a different beast. I'm not interested in the economy but I often saw 35mpg+ easily on a motorway run. The sheer torque was impressive. I think standard they feel sluggish but that's because they're nearly 3 tonnes.

Had my TDV8 Disco mapped by Alive. With its decats, it made 305bhp and 778Nm |

+1 for Alive. Albeit mine is a 2012 sdv6 not a TDV8. Made all the difference. Touch over 300hp can't remember the torque boost. Had it done 2015, at Louth as was in the area at the time.
