dadsSport - 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged | |
My dad recently left Earth, and I've inherited his 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged, Rimini Red and chrome wheels (chrome not my style but not complaining). Although it was a long time since he was able to drive it, he liked to be driven in it, and we both liked to hang out and just admire her beauty. Would you believe she has just under 54k miles, garaged consistently? Maintained at the dealer consistently, though I tried to convince him to use one of the fantastic local shops instead.
The only things I've found that are problematic thus far are door seal rubber on driver's side that needs replacing (no problem), driver's side armrest mechanism wore a hole through one spot in the leather (patchable/mendable), headliner is coming unglued on front pillars/sunvisors (probably a pain in the arse but I can ask a professional)... and the potentially big one, which I noticed tonight while driving home in the evening... the dome light keeps coming on while driving, seemingly when I hit a bump? I'm hoping that perhaps there was a gate/door ajar that was somehow not registered but still causing the light to come on, but I'm also worried I have an electrical gremlin.
In any event, happy to have found this forum, and looking forward to keeping Dad's Sport on the road for a long while.
