Car insurance on a p400e hse dynamic

Hi guys does anyone have a rough idea on what a usual rate would be? Due to collect out new sport in March and being quoted around £200! We're currently paying £60 on our 2017 hse sport! Any rough idea on what is normal appreciated.

Your paying HOW MUCH??...seems 8n London we getting mighty shafted by the insurance companies.

i would gladly pay even the 200...and that would be cheap in pretty much any area...apart from where you live it would seem.

I think I need to rel9cate to where uou live Very Happy

Ha yes definitely per month, that would be be fantastic per year! Just seems to go from paying £60 per month to £200 a bit crazy.

I wouldn't mind knowing who you ultimately go with.

I am London based and was paying £650 per year with LV=. They informed me they will no longer insure RRS's. Gotta new one coming in in Feb and so only have a month of the old cover left (prev RRS was stolen)

We're currently with LV paying only £60 a month but apparently they can't insure the new one, not sure if that's cause its a hybrid or the value of it.

My understanding is that LV are stopping insuring all RRS due to all the thefts

Ah ok although I thought keyless thefts had reduced? Just spoke to my dealer and he says 'he knows someone' and will send the details over to give them a try.

Try A Plan, mine went down a few quid this year. I normally do a quick go compare quote first for comparisons as well. Pointless asking what every one else is paying, we all have our own specific circumstances Joined the X5 45e club

Lol..that would be fantastic...

Feel your pain...seriously though LR have got do something about their keyless system or simply get rid of it.

Some cars have keyless start but require button press to unlock doors.

The new RRS have thatcham S5 which carry a driver id tag..so you need the keys in the car to start it....this should reduce a lot of the thefts.....Unless of course they steal your car using the ODB port ( which I'm pretty sure is what happened in my case)

So dealer put me in touch with Elevate so I'm just waiting on a quote however they did say it'll be a lot more expensive due to increased RR theft as was said earlier on in the thread.

Not p400e, but today renewed my RRS (was LV last year but no longer insuring RRS) with the AA. I asked NFU for quote and was given an indicative quote of £700 - AA came in at £460 MY17 RRS 4.4d V8 Autobiography - Aintree Green (also referred to on Topix as British Racing Green)

Try SAGA if your over 50. Got mine for under £500 with that price guaranteed for the next 2 renewals. Everyone else on my last renewal via the comparison sites was more expensive
