My 2010 RRS was alternating between the amber/red warning triangle and displaying "Vehicle lean when cornering". I read the codes and got the following:
C1119-62 Hydraulic Pressure
C1119-09 Hydraulic Pressure
C1B07-12 Directional Control Valve 2
C1B11-14 Pressure Contrl Valve

I dropped it off at my local independant garage and was the told problem was most likely the valve on the right side ontop of the block and would cost roughly £350 to fix. However there was a high chance it was seized and would break when being removed, and also the pipes going to the front and back could crack and leak. So it could be around £3000 if it went bad.

Then they told me Land Rover has recommened the ECU for the system is changed too. It could be the ECU is changed and the system starts working fine, or it could be the ECU is changed and all the above still needs to be done. I haven't been given a price on the ECU yet but I'm guessing it isn't going to be cheap.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

On what grounds are the indie claiming it needs a new ECU? If they can read codes from it and there are no other symptom, it is likely the valve block problems per the codes.

Why have they said the pipes might crack? Are they corroded?

It is expensive to get the pipes off, refurb the valve block, and put new pipes on if you don't do it yourself.

I think I would be working on the process of:
- remove the pipes from the block and take the block off
- Get the valves off the block and give everything a good clean up. Replace valves and sensors as required
- Rebuild and re-install the valve block if possible with current pipes and new valve block seals

There is a risk that the pipes are seized in the block, break when taken out etc. Suggested prices are massive but not out of possibility as it is a big job.

A new active roll bar module fixed this issue. Total cost of £800 including labour and parts.

Turns out this didnt fix the issue at all and it is exactly back to how it was. Was without the car for 1.5 weeks and £800 down now.

If the hydraulic system is intact, these faults are usually attributed to a faulty valve block...

I've never seen a faulty ARCM, in 15 years...
