Thats a bit of a ball ache. Whats the story here? why have they stopped? Any other recommendations? Mine is under LR for another two years and I was going to use WD after it lapsed but I'll have to think again now. |

Can only assume that they were losing money on these warranties. Tim

I reckon so Tim - I’m sure something will come up though. Your motor sounds like a nice thing - do you have a picture of it? |

Yes, sales pitch is what you want to hear, in reality they won't cover anything unless it breaks, and then there are more get out clauses than you can imagine.

Or it may be a case of more class actions against JLR on the brits side to make there extended warranty stand the the test of time. |

Thats annoying I was gonn get one this year as it worked out pretty reasonable if you just wanted the engne cover, the other stuff I wasnt too bothered about and was only thining about one cos of the crankshaft possible problem (the other I dont think covered that so not really sure who is best now, I did try a quote on Motor easy and it was £100 pcm but the labour charger per hour was based on £35 per hour! Find me a garage in this country that has a labour that cheap!

I had “pre arranged” a 3 year warranty with warranty direct to start after my extended warranty runs out in January and paid a £25 deposit.

Lucky mate wish id done that! I guess they said they would honour exisiting renewals so fair play to them, its strange they decided to go this route although I suspec that it will be an admin cost thing that they only need to sell to dealers and the general public are harder to find as there are quite a few new boys in town.
