Leather gear stick gator L320 Mk1

So having a play at fitting a leather gator to an '06 Sport.

What you think? Yes or No?

Obviously the gator isn't fitted correctly and needs reducing in size, this is currently a 'proof of concept'

Did you ever finish this i was toying with this exact idea I've got a full unit from the facelift and tried to trim the chrome gaitor surround flat but broke it but tempted to do exactly this if you did fit it have got any pics ?

Hi Mate,

No I didn't a I ended up painting the silver part black to match the rest of the centre console.

Happy with that for now. I may however look into a proper solution for the leather gaiter in the future.

I was also toying with the idea of painting ive just gone full piano black with all console and and thinking of painting this part what did you use to cover the see through letters ? Notice on yours you have circles around them was it just stickers kind rgds
