The 155 Q4 is quite interesting to drive.

I have had 155s in all flavours and had a particular passion for the 2.5 V6 of which I have had 3. Bought the first 2 years old somewhere around 1995 and absolutely loved it.

I think I prefer the V6 to the Q4 to be honest. The 4 wheel drive system changes the weight and balance of the car. The V6 is like a torquey little gokart and the Q4 feels ponderous in comparison although it is no slouch. It is better suited to smooth sweeping A roads whilst the V6 is a bit country lane point and squirt.

I never really got on with the 155 twinnies, they seemed flat engine wise and lacking in grunt. Having said that, my Spider is a 2.0 twinnie, and the performance is good. It is an absolute hoot to drive in the sunshine with the roof down.

But... but... for creating a smile, a 3.0 24v V6 GTV is the absolute best by far. I have owned 3 in the past, and regret selling the last one I had which was beautiful. The GTV Cup needs doing as they are such a good car to drive. The engine can be as lazy as you like or as frenetic as you need, and handling wise, it has to be one of the best FWD chassis' ever made!

Ooo... I have a lot of love for Alfa's. (I've had two 75's (a 2.5 v6 and a 3.0 Veloce) and a 164 3.0 24v), they were all good, and the 164 superb. I keep wondering about buying another, but I'm not sure what use I would make of it.
I've had a BMW M3, wonderful engine, but that Alfa v6, really is the "best thing this side of a Ferrari."

I also own a Suzuki TL1000S that I've rescued and turned into a Speed Triple like naked bike, what a sound!, it makes grown men weak at the knees

Thank you for sharing pictures of your cars. I've never owned an Alfa, but have always been tempted. I really enjoyed reading what you have said about the 155 and the GTV. Marvellous!
