Remote FBH Heater switch on £60 (early models) NOW £80

A few Disco owners have been fitting these

They offer a value for money way to warm your diesel car up in the morning.

Hi Andy,
Is there much involved in fitting it?

IT SAYS UPTO 2010

It’s just 3 wires.

2 for power

1 to the heater. As yours isn’t a 2005 year, you will need to buy a terminal pin from the RRS shop

For your facelift model I would have thought you would go a more landrover way.
Eg timed climate or LR remote

Isn’t this what Kev is selling from his L320? 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

I have the timed climate which works well, just thought adding a remote I could work from the house would be useful.

I don’t think it’s compatible with your year.
I would stick with LR stuff on that age.
There is a remote receiver you can fit in the rear.

Thanks Andy, is the remote receiver a dealer accessory only?

Thanks for links Andy. I've got a 2007 RRS 2.7. I take it I need to check if I have a cable on pin 2 on the heater. If not I need to buy the repair wire and add that?
+12v and - 12v. Did you splice the heater power or straight to battery?

Thanks

I expect you need to buy a terminal and wire on 2007

Most people connect to earth stud and the thick battery +

A disco install

Mine is now fitted and working. As already said, all simple enough, only three wires, though I did leave the fourth accessible just in case.

Unit in battery box

Power wires bottom right
